MLC has been an outstanding leader in education in Melbourne for 140 years, from co-ed Kindle to junior and secondary schooling for young women. With the Vision to ‘inspire students to be citizens the world needs’, MLC needed an equally bold and clear Mission, a set of actionable values and an associated brand identity to demonstrate how they continuously strive towards achieving this Vision.
MLC is unmatched in Melbourne’s education landscape, and that is because of – not in spite of - its ability to nurture students’ individual interests and talents, through its size and scale. The ‘unmatched’ nature of College’s offer became the central theme in the enhanced brand foundations and visual identity. We also took an approach to messaging that would help MLC openly celebrate and authentically tell the stories of the College community’s experiences and achievements.
